My daughter's ID

So, my friend (American Sam) took my eldest daughter, a kindergartener, out to dinner with her. American Sam's son (who's a 2nd grader and fascinated with PK culture now) asked my daughter....

Do you have any traditions?

My daughter replied:

"Yes, I'm half Pakistani and half American."
(ROFL)

And he said...No, I mean do you do anything special?

My eldest was confused.

Yeah, sometimes my mom reads me books or takes me shopping.

(ROFLMAO)

American Sam explained to her son that my daughter was just a kindergartener and that she wouldn't understand what "traditions" means.

The he asks her .....

So, what do Pakistani's look like?

Her reply...

"Well...some are brown and some are black."

(ROFLMAO)

We will be discussing that Pakistani's, like American's, come in all colors. ha

Her son asked some other questions...which my daughter answered to the best of her 5 year old ability...but he soon lost interest b/c he wasn't getting the answers he liked.

So he said...Hey! Let's see who can clean their ice cream bowl the fastest!

My daughter ate all her icecream and started shoving her bowl with napkins.

When asked what she was doing...she told them "I'm cleaning my bowl! I'm gonna win!"

Gone Green

A post over at the forums reminded me to tell ya'll I went green! haha

Yall know I'm only buying organic these days, I've mentioned that before, but now I've purchased the canvas shopping sacks for my groceries.

Yep, bought 20 sacks for 20 bucks. And the store I use them at takes off 5 cents of your purchase for every sack you bring in with you (5 sacks= $.25). Pretty soon they will pay for themselves.

I've also been tinkering with selling my gas guzzler for a hybrid. Husband's company will pitch in 3k for the purchase and I think you get a few K tax break as well (don't hold me to that though).

Anyway, I'm making life changes here and I'm happy about it.

What do you do to be environmentally friendly?

And what kinda hybrid would you get...that can tow you, your spouse, three kids plus 1 friend around? (right now I have third row seating)

Well, I did it.

I rode my little bike all around the block....family in tow.

It was ok.
